We have a ratio of 1 teacher to 4 dogs resulting in "safe and positive play" only

All our Kinder friends are assessed by a vet or vet nurse to ensure that their behaviour is suitable for Doggy Kinder prior to enrollment. This is to ensure that we encourage only positive interactions between Kinder friends. We do not want any bad experiences for anyone. If your puppy has graduated from Lava Street Puppy School, then your puppy will not require a behavioural assessment. Our small ratio of 1 teacher to 4 dog ratio ensures all dogs have continual guidance and monitoring to ensure safe play happens. 

We encourage all ages

Dogs need to be fully vaccinated to join Doggy Kinder and so will need to be at least 14 weeks of age to ensure their vaccinations are working properly.

We encourage all breeds and genders including un-neutered dogs

We do not select our Kinder friends according to breed. We love every breed of dog. Variety is the spice of life after all!

We encourage mental and physical engagement

All dogs need daily exercise and mental stimulation to help avoid behavioural and health problems. We go for multiple lead walks out and about, as well as, playing within Doggy Kinder building.

We encourage dogs that have medical problems

Due to our staff working across both Lava Street Veterinary Clinic and Doggy Kinder, we can ensure that all our Kinder friends that require special medical care will receive the care they need. Whether they need rehab post surgery or daily medications throughout the day, we are here to help!

We have veterinary care at our fingertips

Our veterinary clinic is right next door. So in the event of urgent medical care, our vets are on hand right away. 

Safe and clean environment

We are protected from the elements in our specially designed indoor play area. Play never needs to stop at Doggy Kinder! With hospital grade cleanliness our Kinder friends will always be in the safest environment possible. Safety is what we know and what we do best.

Your pup can let loose inside our indoor play area, complete with forts, bubbles, tunnels, toys and castles!

We encourage learning

We are here to help you educate your pup. We have a structured day to ensure that all dogs get the rest they need to process all they have been learning through the day. See our Kinder schedule.

We are exclusive!

We prioritise pups that are regulars. Dogs love routine and we want to encourage that as much as we can. We know it is important to prioritise owners that put their pup's needs first.
